Living in Seattle has shaped me into the fun-loving, patient, and understanding person I am today, and I carry these traits over into my projects. I have never strived to be the "rockstar designer" who creates stunning yet wholly unrealistic proposals--instead, I ensure that all my designs provide viable solutions to inadequacies pertaining to usability and convenience, based on field interviews and research. My design aesthetic is largely inspired by the design language of automobiles and the streamlined elegance of Scandinavian design.
While studying Industrial Design, I also spent three quarters learning the fundamentals of graphic design. I apply the same methods of usability research from Industrial Design to my web designs--if a person cannot quickly find what he or she needs from a website, I believe the website has failed. A website is first and foremost a means to communicate information; it is my job to make a sleek design while leaving the emphasis on content.
I am currently seeking freelance and full-time web design and industrial design opportunities. Please see my contact page for further information. Thank you!
